Privacy Policy

Shijian 诗笺 · Effective 2026-11-06

Shijian has no account and does not know who you are. Here is all the data it touches, in four parts.

What we collect

• No personal information: no name, email, phone number, location, health data, browsing or search history, photos or contacts. No device identifier or advertising identifier is made or sent.
• Five anonymous counts, on by default: opened the app, played a reading, saw the Full Edition page, bought the Full Edition, finished today's poem. They are not linked to who you are, and you can turn them off at any time in 我的 › 设置 (Me › Settings) in the app. Each count carries only three things: the week the app was installed, the number of days since, and the app version. It cannot identify you, your device, or this install.
• Your favorites, your reading history, a few display settings (such as pinyin on or off and the listening mode), the paintings you have downloaded, and a marker that the Full Edition has been purchased are stored on your phone only. They are not uploaded or synced.

What we use it for

The anonymous counts are used only to learn how many people keep reading and where the full-edition screen is met. They are not linked to you and not used for tracking.

Who gets it

• Anonymous counts go to our own event server, hosted on Supabase. Its table holds no identifier, no IP address and no time of day (only the date). Each count is sent at most once a day; the install day and the last day a count was sent are kept on the phone and are not sent as dates. Any web server sees your IP address while it answers; we do not store it or link it to anything. Supabase privacy policy
• Downloading poems, the calendar and paintings goes through our content server, shijian.anyu.dev, hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The app fetches the list of poems and the calendar about once a day, and a painting the first time it is shown. Reading aloud is not downloaded: it comes from recordings inside the app or the system voice. The requests carry no account, no cookie, no identifier, and nothing you did in the app. The host receives your IP address and the name of the file requested while it answers; we do not use that information, combine it with anything, or link it to you, and we run no analytics on this server. • Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store. We cannot see your payment details or your Apple ID; we only learn whether this Apple ID owns the Full Edition. Apple privacy policy
• We share nothing with anyone else. The app has no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks or third-party libraries. Where it shows a link to a source (a museum page, a book, a licence), tapping it opens your web browser, and that site's own privacy policy applies.

How to delete it

• Delete the app and the data on your phone goes with it. To remove a favorite, un-favorite that poem.
• The anonymous counts carry no identifier, so we cannot find or delete "yours". To turn them off, switch off "发送匿名使用统计" (Send anonymous usage statistics) in 我的 › 设置 (Me › Settings) in the app: sending stops at once, and counts not yet sent are discarded.

Children and changes

Shijian does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13; it has no accounts, no ads, and no way to contact other people. If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
